The combined production capacity of the two areas is equivalent to 4,500 tons per month. To assure the Calcium Carbonate quality, Alad Mining monitors and assays the grade of all produced Calcium Carbonate material. The Company has invested and set up its own Brightness Assay Laboratory in its mine operations primarily to monitor the whiteness characteristic of the calcium carbonate produced.
GRADE CONTROL- To assure the market of the Calcium Carbonate quality, the material produced by Alad Mining has a maximum size range of 10 inches. Generally, there are three classes of Calcium carbonate material identified within the mining properties. These are:
| DOMINANT COMPOSITION | BRIGHTNESS QUALITY |
|---|---|
| SPECIAL CLASS AAA | 94.4 % and up |
| CLASS AA | 93.5 % + / – 1.0 % |
| CLASS A | 92.5 % + / – 1.0 % |
CLASSES OF CALCIUM CARBONATE
The general specifications of the shipped material are further broken down as follows:
| Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) | 999.4 % + / – 0.5 Max |
| Calcium Oxide (CaO) | 55.7 % + / – 0.3 Max |
| Ferric Oxide (Fe2O3) | 0.02 % + / – 0.1 Max |
| Manganese dioxide (MnO2) | 0.01 % Max |
